Pop Art Studio (PAS) file format
Pop Art Studio uses its own file format to save your image and all visible and hidden layers. If you save a file in Pop Art Studio (pas) file format the program saves the layers (vector data) as XML* in the .pas file.

The background layer and all raster layers will be saved in a seperate file in png (Portable Network Graphics) format. This file format guarantees no loss of information about the pixel data. If you copy your pas file make sure you also copy the background bitmap, having the same name as the pas file with the extension replaced by 'png'. You can open a Pop Art Studio file in your Browser to view its content. The full path of the background image is in the Image tag.

*XML (eXtensible Markup Language) is a general-purpose markup language. Its primary purpose is to facilitate the sharing of data across different information systems.
